Fan Stack

Innovek · Cooling tower parts

The cylinder that guides air out of your cooling tower

Innovek fan stacks are made from layered laminated polyester with a double-coat design. The inside is smooth so air leaves quickly, and the outside is tough enough for the weather and the daily work of a cooling tower.

  • Smooth inner surface for fast air removal
  • Strong outer surface that resists weather and tower operation
  • Classic cylindrical shape for lower noise and vibration

What it does

A simple part that helps the whole tower

The fan stack sits around the fan and shapes how the air leaves the tower.

01

Guides the air out

The fan stack is the cylinder around the fan. It directs the air upward and out of the tower, so the fan moves air through the fill instead of letting it escape sideways.

02

Lets air leave quickly

The inner surface is smooth, so air passes through the stack with little resistance.

03

Keeps the tower calmer

The classic cylindrical shape helps lower the noise and vibration, not only of the fan itself but of the whole cooling tower.

How it is built

Strong outside, smooth inside

1

Layered laminated polyester

The stack is made from several layers of polyester laminated together, which gives a strong, light and rust-free structure.

2

A double-coat design

The inside has a smooth finish for fast air removal. The outside is built for strength and for resistance to the weather and the conditions of a working cooling tower.

Fit with your fan

Stack and fan work as a pair

The small gap between the blade tips and the stack matters for fan performance. Some fans can be adjusted to match the stack: the Cofimco G series and 50F fans have a 2 inch diameter adjustment that lets you reduce the tip clearance, or make up for a stack that is slightly out of round.

Keep the whole drive line matched

  • Fan blades chosen for your stack diameter
  • A gearbox sized for the fan load
  • A drive shaft that carries the power smoothly
