The problem
Why some cooling towers cannot keep up
If your water is not cold enough, the cause is often the tower itself.
The tower is under-rated
The plant grew, or the heat load went up, and the tower can no longer cool the water enough. The water comes back too warm, and production suffers.
The tower was designed wrong
The tower was designed or selected wrongly for the real duty from the start, so it never reached the cooling the plant needs.
Nobody knows the real rating
Many owners have never measured what the tower really delivers, so the problem is guessed at instead of solved.
How we do it
From your existing tower to the rating you need
We start with what you already have, and upgrade only what is needed.

Assess your tower
We measure what your existing tower really delivers today: airflow and performance, to ASME PTC-30 and CTI ATC-105.

Set the target rating
We agree with you the rating your plant needs: the water temperature, flow and heat load you want to reach.

Upgrade the right parts
We change only what is needed to reach that rating, such as the fan blades, fill, drift eliminator, nozzles and distribution.

Prove the result
We test again, so you see the new rating in measured figures.
Keep your main components
Upgrade the tower, not everything around it
You do not need a whole new tower. We keep the main components, including the gearbox, the motor and the tower structure, and change the parts that decide the rating.

Same power, more airflow
Change to the TANDEM blade
The easiest upgrade to start with.
A tower cools by the amount of air its fan moves. With the Cofimco TANDEM blade, the fan can move more air with the same power, because the twin-airfoil shape keeps the air flowing smoothly over the blade. More airflow raises the cooling capacity of your tower, so it reaches a higher rating, while the gearbox and motor you already have can stay.
